This little Hot
Rod came all the way from
Florida. Our customer had it
chopped, widened, lengthened, tubbed, shaved, and then welded solid to the frame. Then we were asked to
smooth out all of the seams and mount the doors with
hidden hinges then build smooth door jams
throughout.
During the time
spent on this model A, we completely reworked every surface as many
times as it took to make it right. With all of the changes
made to the overall shape of the car, there were many places where
things just did not align well. It was necessary to assemble
and disassemble pieces to make small changes that affected the
close tolerances. The finished product only hints at the
hundreds of hours needed to complete the
transformation.
